Traffic Conditions Route G-21 – Farellones Road | Winter 2026:

Between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, there will be no traffic in either direction on restricted days. Schedules are subject to change by the Carabineros (Chilean police) depending on traffic and weather conditions.

Road notes

Mandatory use and carrying of snow chains

The carrying of snow chains —in good condition and of the appropriate size— is mandatory whenever a Preventive Early Warning issued by SENAPRED is in effect. The Municipality of Lo Barnechea and Carabineros will define the authorized points for the installation of chains.

It will not be permitted to install chains in unauthorized locations or to continue ascending without chains when required by the authorities. In case of non-compliance, Carabineros and the Municipality may deny access to the route or to Valle Nevado.
